The music programme at both the Royal Derby Hospital and London Road Community Hospital is an important part of our arts programme and we are thrilled to be able to work with so many wonderfully talented musicians. Having live music around the hospital brings so much joy for patients, staff and visitors, and has such a positive impact for so many people.

The ethos of the programme is to provide uplifting musical moments, for  patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.

We are very lucky to have performances that feature a wide range of different genres, so there is something for everyone! As well as having performances from professional musicians from organisations such as Viva Sinfonia and Birmingham Conservatoire, we have reached out to young musicians in the community and have seen performances at RDH from Derby Cathedral Choir, Derby Music Centre’s Flute and Clarinet group and Cherry Tree Primary School Choir.

If you are a musician and would like to be involved in our music programme, or have any feedback about our current programme, please contact Rosie, our Music Programme coordinator at:
