Artist’s Residency

In July 2009 Air Arts Coordinator Juliet Cooper and photographic artist Valerie Dalling discussed the possibility of introducing a monthly photography forum within the hospital for staff, patients and volunteers. Following a public consultation, which received a very positive response, Valerie was offered a residency for one year culminating in an exhibition of work by members of the group.

‘Imagining Words Inspiring Photography’  was on display as part of last season’s Exposures Visual Arts Programme. We hope you had the opportunity to visit the work, which as a result of kind donations, continues to be enjoyed in wards and departments throughout the hospital.

While the residency came to an end in December, it has proved so successful that The Image Club continues to meet once a month. If you are interested in photography and would like to support the group please contact Valerie for further details.
